Hello everyone,
Here are details of my latest workshop. You can find this, and workshop dates for the foreseeable future online too.
General to Intermediate level Hatha workshop.
Yoga poses have always been a precursor to meditation. From that point we begin
an exploration of our own internal space via breath and awareness of the finer
points of alignment a pose, or series of poses.
Attending to detail (or alignment), our various muscle groups within a pose,
breath and even our own discomfort and effort each create a handhold for the
mind. Whilst focusing on several places at once, the mind learns to become
still. By adopting a practice where we inhabit this space, we learn to respond
to this still place rather than reacting to the world outside of us, or
engaging with mind chatter. This brings us to the doorway of being in the
present moment.
The workshop will have a Hatha format i.e will be comprised of standing,
sitting and rejuvenating asanas. Special emphasis will be placed on backbends.
